We were approached by RedBullTV to create a Cinematic VR Music Video / Short Film as an assisted content piece for their 2016 Feature Film “Let’s Be Frank”.
What we created were new boundaries in what could be accomplished with Cinematic VR. It’s the first and only Cinematic VR piece of its kind, captured start to finish at 120fps and brought to life with seamless photoreal VFX while all completed with the most limited resources one could possibly imagine.
See if you can spot all the nuances that bring the narrative full circle and ask yourself some questions along the way… My are they meeting here? What’s the headline to that newspaper? Why is our lead, Andy, carrying a camera? Why is Josh holstering a gun? What’s on the TV? Your 5 W’s will lead the way.
Dig deeper into the technical challenges we faced fighting 120fps crop sensors, motion control, enormous parallax, and more by watching the 360 VFX Breakdown included above!
